Terms of Service

1. Acceptance / parties
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Position Lens Limited ("Position Lens", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17145629, registered office 11 The Shrubbery, Farnborough, England, GU14 0RQ, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms.
2. Description of service
Position Lens is an options analytics and visualisation platform — a SaaS web application for retail options traders. It provides US options market data (prices, Greeks; tick, 1-second, 1-minute and end-of-day resolutions) and related analytics and visualisation tools. Market data is sourced from ThetaData/AxiomX LLC.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. You are responsible for complying with the laws applicable to you in your own jurisdiction.
4. Accounts
Registration uses Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all paid subscriptions — Paddle handles billing, invoicing and applicable taxes on our behalf, and Paddle's own terms also apply to the transaction. We offer a Free tier (live data, no payment), a Monthly tier, and an Annual tier (discounted versus monthly), billed in USD — see the pricing page for current amounts. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We will give reasonable advance notice of any price change before it takes effect on your subscription.
6. Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied, request a full refund within 14 days of a paid purchase and we will refund it, processed via Paddle as Merchant of Record. Subscription renewals after that period are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals. This is in addition to your statutory 14-day cancellation right described below.
Right to cancel (consumers). If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a legal right to cancel a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because the service provides digital content with immediate access, by starting a paid subscription during this period you expressly request that we begin the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed; where it is only partly performed, any refund may be reduced to reflect the service already provided. To cancel, email admin@positionlens.com. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
7. Not financial advice
Position Lens provides data, analytics and visualisation for informational purposes only. We do not provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice, do not recommend any security or strategy, and nothing on the platform is a solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security.
Options trading carries substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and should consult a licensed financial advisor before acting on anything shown in the app.
Position Lens Limited is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and carries on no regulated activity. Nothing in the service is a financial promotion, personal recommendation, or regulated investment advice.
8. Market data terms
Market data is provided "as is", may be delayed, and we do not warrant its accuracy or completeness. Data originates from ThetaData/AxiomX LLC. You may use this data within the app for your own personal use, but you may not redistribute, resell, or scrape it — our upstream data licence permits distribution to end users, not onward redistribution by them, and that restriction passes down to you.
9. Brokerage connections (SnapTrade)
If you link a brokerage account through SnapTrade, you authorise us to access your holdings, positions and activity data for that account on a read-only basis. Position Lens is not a broker-dealer, does not hold custody of your assets, and does not place or execute trades on your behalf.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape or bulk-extract data from the service, reverse engineer the platform, resell or redistribute market data or analytics, abuse or attempt to disrupt the service, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
11. Intellectual property
The platform, its software, and its content are owned by Position Lens Limited. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own personal use, subject to these Terms.
12. Third-party services
The service relies on and integrates with third-party providers, including Paddle, SnapTrade, Firebase, and ThetaData/AxiomX. Those providers' own terms of service may also apply to your use of the relevant feature.
13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Position Lens Limited's liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that digital content be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described). Where you deal as a consumer, the "as is" and liability provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not affect those non-excludable rights.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Position Lens Limited harmless from any claims, losses or liabilities arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms. This indemnity applies only to the extent permitted by law; where you deal as a consumer it is limited to losses arising from your fraud, wilful misconduct, or unlawful use of the service.
15. Termination / suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the service, or cancel your subscription, at any time.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service.
17. Changes to these terms
